Rescue Me ID: 15-07-07-00182Sammy (male)
Sammy born 6-21-08. Very energetic neutered male Maltese/yorkie mix. About 14 pounds. Loves to be with people. Needs to be the only pet in the family with experience with dogs. Leashed trained. Crate trained. Up to date on all shots and license renewed this year. Loves to be pet and have a lot of attention. We must rehome with very heavy hearts. We also have 2 older labs that Sammy became aggressive with one. (dropped food triggered a fight). We can not take a chance this will happen again. Sammy has always had an issue with one of our older dogs and we did not address it properly. He has general good health. Allergies and gets a daily zirtech to help control. (scratches at ears and this has helped greatly-vet approved.) Also on food for sensitive stomach. We will supply some food, allergy med, crate, his favorite dog beds and bones. He has many good years ahead of him and will make someone a very special pet. I am never able to sit without him coming and chilling with me. He loves to play fetch with a ball. He will greet you with much affection and love. If you seek a companion, don't have other pets and understand dogs, he will be a great pet for you! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-04-00228Wilson (male)
Hi! My name is Wilson (Maltese in picture). I am 10 years old and I live with my sister Sassi (Morky, 9 years). My Mom has to relocate and where she is moving they don't take pets :( My sister & I are looking to stay together since we are losing our Mom. As for me, I love to go on long walks, be held in your arms, and give you kisses :). As you can see from the picture, my sister and I love to snuggle and are looking for a good home where we can snuggle with you. I do have Colitis, but Mom has me on special food so as long as I don't eat anything but my dog food, I am A-OK :) Please help mend my sister's & I broken hearts. Keep us together and find us a loving home. Thank you. Wilson & Sassi (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-21-00238Baby Girl (female)
Baby Girl came into our rescue several weeks ago along with Chewy (Coco). She'd been living in an empty apartment in Waterbury that had no heat, electricity, or water - and shaggy doesn't even begin to describe her! She's now cleaned up, clipped, and looking adorable - and she's also looking for a wonderful long-term foster or forever home. Baby Girl and Chewy are seniors - Baby Girl is 14 and Chewy is 12. They're both blind because of glaucoma. They're used to living with each other, and we want to keep them together. So we'd like to find a wonderful foster or forever family who can welcome them together into their home. Both dogs are great with other dogs - in fact they gain confidence from other sighted dogs and get around just fine when in their company - and also with children and cats. Baby Girl has one eye that has some fluid building up behind it as a result of the glaucoma and our vet continues to evaluate whether medical intervention is needed. At 14 years old, if he can avoid putting her under anesthesia he'd prefer to do that. Otherwise, these two pups are amazingly healthy and still have a little pep in their step! Let's find Baby Girl and Chewy a totally awesome retirement home! They deserve lots of love and cuddles, and a place to relax and feel safe in their golden years! If they are adopted, we will only consider adopting them as a bonded pair and the adoption fee will be reduced. For more information please email: email@example.com (Less)
