Rescue Me ID: 17-11-21-00072Coco (aka Chicken) (male)

Maltese Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Coco is a spry 12.5 yr old male Morkie - yorkie/maltese. His non-biological bother, Oscar, whom he was with since 12 wks old (we had coco since 12 weeks), passed away at the end of July. They were so close, connected at the hip. At the same point in time, my daughter moved out. Coco went through two losses at once. He can not be alone in the house as he cries and bellows unconsolably. My partner and I live in a townhouse style home and share (very thin) walls with our 73 yr. old neighbor. She has been very patient hoping that Coco would grow out of his grief and saddness but as of now, he has not. Both my partner and I work. While we are ... (Read More)out, Coco spends his time diapered (he's house broken - this is just precaution), locked in our bedroom which does not share a wall w/our neighbor. He needs companionship. Someone who is home most of the time. He has been well loved, has no known medical problems - other than only having 3 teeth left, is a love and loves to snuggle at bedtime, is housebroken, gets along with other dogs, kids, and adults. He loves walks and tooling around in the park. After 12 1/2 years, I just can't keep him knowing he's going to spend a great deal of time in the bedroom, sad and crying. He deserves so much more. p.s. His name is officially Coco but when my daughter was young, she said he looked like a naked chicken when he got shaved down at the groomers. Hence how his name is 1/2 'Chicken' and 1/2 'Coco.' (Less)
