Rescue Me ID: 14-09-26-00602Flemming (male)
Fleming is a pretty shy guy but once he gets to know you he is great. He loves to be held and wants to be with you all of the time. Flemming loves to play with toys of all kinds, and collect them into piles if they are scattered around. He may not do best with younger children because he is a little bit jumpy. He is crate trained and is still trying to master house training.

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-22-00352Toby (male)
Meet Toby! This little guy was an owner surrender to the shelter. He's an 8 year old Maltese, and they got him as a puppy. We believe they surrendered him because he had a lot of skin issues going on. The vet determined that his skin issues were the result of prolonged exposure to fleas. He is now flea free, & recovering beautifully! Toby has the BEST personality. He is always happy, loves to run around, & loves everyone he meets. He will walk right up to everyone to say hi, from a 100 pound dog to a 200 pound goat! He's a social butterfly. Toby wants to come home with you! Toby will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, & heartworm tested prior to adoption. Toby's adoption fee is $175. (Less)

I am writing on behalf of my aunt who passed away on Friday leaving behind two Maltipoos. No one in the family is either able or willing to take in the dogs due to previous pet obligations, small children, or simply reluctance to do so. I am writing to ask if you would be able to help us find a home or homes for them. I will not sugar-coat the issues - and these dogs do have some issues. They are about 10 and a half years old, healthy to the best of our knowledge, up-to-date on all shots and heartworm medication. The only possible health concern comes from their groomer, to whom I took them two weeks ago. She suggested, judging by the fur of one of them, that she should have her thyroid checked, but as our family is dealing with both the death of our aunt and the unexpected death of my brother's wife the day before my aunt passed, non-critical vet visits are on the back burner right now. The dogs are both spayed females, sisters who have never been apart. They have lived their entire lives in an unstructured environment with two very old women (my grandmother who passed two and a half years ago and my aunt who passed Friday) who, due to failing health and increasing senility, were never able or interested in properly training them. They are cronic barkers, sounding a long alarm at the least noise or visitor, and very reticent to come up to anyone but my mother and my remaining aunt, and occasionally myself, but only one of them will do that. The other one spends most of her time hiding behind the sofa. They are not house-broken as my aunt was convinced it was 'cruel' to give them any sort of training. We have almost managed to get them, at least, to go on the same throw rugs every day, but even that is hit and miss. In spite of all of this, I think they could be good dogs in the right hands. I would take them myself, as I am a dog lover, but my home can not currently handle anymore animals. I personally feel that separating them would be a good step toward fixing their behavioral/social issues, but my late aunt would be horrified and, again, feel that it was cruel to do so. I'm open to them going as a pair or to two separate owners. The ideal situation would be their going to homes where they would be the only dog under the care of a patient and doting caretaker. I know that's asking a lot. They don't get along well with other dogs and have, at times, gotten a bit snippy with my dog (who weighs a hundred pounds and doesn't really notice) and others that they've been around. Any help or guidance you could offer toward resolving their situation would be extremely appreciated. They are currently being subjected to the presence of a lot of family members who are coming in for the funerals, but once this difficult week is over, they will be alone in the house with my visits to feed them and let them out several times a day as their only socialization. In spite of all I've just told you, they really are sweet dogs - or have the potential to be sweet dogs, and I'd really like to see them go to caring owners. We are in Northeast Ohio, and finding a home or homes within driving distance is pretty important. Thank you so much for your time. Please let us know at your earliest convenience if you are able to help us out with this. I really don't want to take them to a shelter, but I'm running out of options quickly. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-16-00664Baby Puppy (male)
as stated on my other post I am forced to get rid of some of my dogs due to the HOA where i live and there BS rules they have. I have fought and fought gone to court and with no other choice I havce to get rid of some because im un able to move at this time.Baby puppy is 3 months old. HE is a fun loving puppy that loves his parents and his brother that i have aswell. He is great with other animals and good with children he is full of energy and extremely lovable. when he isnt playing with his mom he is is hanging out in my lap or chasing my 4 year old around. Im still working with him on potty training he does sleep in a cage with his mother so he is use to sleeping in one. he does still have accidents sometimes but if he is let out often he is fine most of the time... with this puppy im not looking to sell him what i do what is the person that wants to adopt him to make a tax deductible donation either your or my humane society or the one here where i live of at least $100. I figure this would help other animals and show me a commitment to the puppy. I am looking for a forever home for this pup so please make sure you are able and willing to do that.... I prefer a person that has had animals like this but i have found great people that havent aswell. these dogs are a part of my family and it breaks my heart having to get ride of any of them but i have no choice. If you would like to meet him please drop me a line i dont usually answer my phone when im working so shooting me a text is usually easier or email. Thank you for your time (Less)

Due to a recent with my neighbors and the HOA that i live in I am forced to get rid of a few of my pets. I really hate to get rid of any of them but due to a court order I have no choice. I have used this site in the past and located a home for a dog i bought from a person that didnt treat it right in efforts to find the pup a good home with a loving family. So im back in hopes of finding my pups a good forever home. This post is for Cletus he is a lovable Pup that was born Feb. 23 2012. I kept this puppy from the time he was born due to people that wanted to adopt him i didnt feel it was a good fit so in the end after looking for months i decided it was best he stayed with my family. Cletus is very lovable and nice dog. He has been around his mom and dad, uncle aswell as other brothers and sisters that was born after him. He isnt agressive in anyway. He is good with children we have a 4yr old that likes to carry him around. He is crate trained and likes to sleep in his crate at night where he feels safe. He is a awesome dog and deserves a loving family that will care and love him for the rest of his life. he would be good for a family with no animals or ones with other animals because he is use to being around other animals and is very playful. It breaks my heart to have to do this and i really dont want to at all but i rather find him a home before they take him and do god knows what. I will sleep better knowing i helped him find his forever home. He would also be great for a older person or couple. He loves to go on walks and take rides in cars and even camping. he has been a joy raising the last few years and i have grown really close to him . Please please please only contact me if you can do this for the rest of his life he is a great dog and deserves the best life possible. I am not looking for money for him just a safe home with lots of love. I prefer someone that has had a maltese and knows the breed and knows how they are. They are very loyal animals and love attention from their owners. he will be your best friend and your co pilot. If you are interested in meeting him please contact me. I rarely answer my phone so if you call and able to send a text message please text me or drop me a email and ill get back to you... He will come with all his things as well as his shot records from our vet. He is not fixed yet. I also own both of his parents he is 100% pure breed maltese and his parents are from breeders from different parts of the country. I will ad photos shortly if they are not up already... (Less)
