Rescue Me ID: 15-11-30-00678Lil' Bit (male)
*Available for adoption soon...Pre-Adoption Applications being accepted now. Lil' Bit was found wandering about all alone one day. Numerous exhausting attempts were made to find his family, but with no luck. That is when the Pup Patrol decided to take him in and find him his very own furever family. We believe Lil' Bit is a Maltese mix pup who is estimated to be around 9 years old, and currently weighs about 9 lbs. He is house trained. We don't believe he has ever been crated, as he cries and cries when put in one. He is fine being left alone in the house though...he will nap until his human comes home. He rides well in the car, and loves to be close to his human. Lil' Bit gets along just fine with other pups, and is good with older kids (he hasn't been tested with babies or toddlers yet, but we don't forsee any issues.) If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please fill out our Pre-Adoption Application. The link to this form can be found on the home page of our website, http://dfwpuppatrol.com. It can be submitted via email to email@example.com or faxed to 972-767-4849. All of our adoptable pups have an adoption fee of $225, regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. UPDATE: 11/30/15Meet Xander..2 yr old male Maltese mix. Xander is healing wonderfully and is getting a personality back. He is so happy to be out of being confined after his surgery. We are happy to report he has his final check up the first week in December and will be ready for his fur-ever home. 9/4/15 He was pulled from the Garland Animal Services Shelter on Monday this week. He was allowed early medical release because the shelter vet suspected broken limbs/pelvis. I couldn't stand the thought of him living the remainder of his days like that and wasn't sure if he would be pulled by other rescues, so when I came across him we just did what needed to be done and picked him up an hour and a half later and right at shelter closing. He has seen our vet and x-Rays taken. He is now UTD on vaccines/rabies and was tested and negative for HW. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-29-00010Joy To The World (female)
This little girl will have you singing with joy! She is a cute little 4.8 pound girl that is all spunk and energy! She loves to play with other dogs, loves to race around the yard, and ikf she is still long enough she will cuddle. Joy is about eight months old and came to us with a neck wound. Her neck has been repaired, stitches will come out soon and no one will ever be able to see where she was injured. Nothing has slowed her down, she is ready to play and cause mischief! We believe she is a Shih Tzu/Maltese. She has the colors of a shih tzu, but she is small and has the build of a Maltese. She loves other dogs and would be best with another dog because of her high energy! WE ARE IN ABILENE, TEXAS. WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT OUR PETS, WE REQUIRE ADOPTERS MEET THE DOG TO MAKE SURE IT IS A GOOD FIT. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-17-00511Praline (female)
This sweet little treat is Praline! A call came in about a small broken dog who had been hit by a car, and the folks didn't know what to do about it. Animal Care Services sent out an officer, and they found this poor girl hiding and in pain. They scooped her up and took her into their clinic. We usually get call outs for rescues who have medical issues, and when we saw her little elvin face we couldn't say no. Praline came into our organization and immediately went to South Texas Veterinary Specialists to get fixed up. Now that she's had surgery and is traveling the road to recovery, Praline is ready to start looking for a great new home. She may be small, but it's just another reason why this girl is so sweet. She's the perfect size to sit on your lap, and all through her recovery her favorite spot was sitting with her foster mom. She loves to see what you're doing and will watch intensely while you're doing even the smallest thing. When she first came in, Praline's coat was matted and needed a good grooming, but while she was being brushed out and shaved she didn't give a peep. She sat nicely and just waited for us to finish. She wasn't as crazy about the bath, but didn't fight too much. She is housebroken and crate trained, so she doesn't have a lot of basic skills to learn, and she does great with other dogs, although she'd prefer someone who doesn't want to jump on her or play too rough. If you've got a craving for a little sugar, fill out your application for Praline today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-17-00503Pinky (female)
The original pink lady, this little cutie is the cutting edge of style, and she didn't even have to try! Another of our many San Antonio strays picked up by Animal Care Services, this little girl had been out on her own for awhile and after no one would claim her, the neighborhood folks finally called to have her picked up. While some rescues may see hairloss like that and say 'no', we're suckers for cute faces and know how easy it is to treat things like demodex mange. We snagged Pinky on one of our many trips to ACS and got her started on a whole new beauty regimen. She may only be six pounds but that just means Pinky is the perfect size to sit in your lap, ride in your bag, and travel with you everywhere! She loves to be with you and even if you're just hanging out, she'll happily nap until you need her. She is young so she still loves to play with other dogs, and since she's a little one, she does great with cats because most of them are bigger than her! Pinky does great with all the folks she meets and is always ready to give beauty tips. She is doing great with her housetraining and has only had a few accidents in her foster home. Pinky does great on the leash, although if you held her all the time, this snuggle bug wouldn't mind. If you want some help with your beauty regime, get some advice from this pink lady and fill out your application for Pinky today! (Less)

Animal ID: A29590054Tenley PB (female)
This adorable little girl is Tenley, she is a 10lb, 5 year old Maltipoo. She is very shy and takes a little while to feel safe around new people, she really needs to be in a quiet home without any children, maybe someone who is retired or works out of their home would be the best situation for her. She is good with cats and dogs so long as they are chilled. She enjoys relaxing indoors and would make a wonderful companion for someone who would like a tiny new best friend. Tenley has been spayed, is current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting Tenley, or would like to find out more about her, please go to www.homesforpets.org and complete an adoption application. Her adoption fee is $115.00 (Less)

Looking for a Maltese/Dachshund? Why not schedule a date with Eddie? He's 4 yrs. old, calm, quiet and loves to sunbathe. One of his favorite activities is to lie by the window and look outside. Eddie gets along well with other dogs, but he is scared of large dogs. Puppies and young small dogs are just fine. Eddie is potty trained and crate-trained. This sweet and loving boy is currently on a slow-kill HW regimen and doing well. Please contact us for more information.
