OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. My 'family ' thought that it was a good idea to get rid of me because they didn't have the time for me. All I've ever wanted was a family that cared about me and to grow up and have a good life. I'm a very sweet boy that's not used to being around other dogs, but I'm sure that I can learn and become the best of friends with them. Won't you give this sweet boy a chance at a life that I've always deserved? Sergio is a Male Maltese / Westie Mix that we estimate to be around 7-8 months. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. I was very hungry and thirsty, and very scared, but after only a few days of care I was feeling and looking a lot better. All I needed was to come out of my shell was someone to love me! I love going on walks and already know not to pull on the leash when we are exploring the neighborhood. I'll even stay by your side without a leash! I've never gone to bathroom in the house either. I learn quickly from watching other dogs and I am a good listener. I love belly scratches and will crawl into your lap if you let me. I won't bother you at night because I can sleep all the way through in my own crate. Don't worry if I seem scared at first, I get a lot braver every day. Since I just got rescued in early June, I'm still getting healthier. The veterinarian says that I'm about one year old, that I have great teeth, and that I will be very pretty when my hair finishes growing back. Come check me out this weekend at the Adoption Center!! This awesome guy is looking for a new home! Beaux was well loved by his previous owner that had to go into nursing care and could not longer keep Beaux. Beaux is a handsome Maltese/Shih Tzu that loves people and gets along great with female dogs (he becomes obsessed with male dogs and will not stop biting them and tormenting them). Beaux loves to sleep snuggled up ON a person at night, loves to follow in your footsteps, and does well on car rides.It will take him a little while to get used to going outside to potty in a new place but that is expected in a new home with a little guy that is confused about where he can go. Maltese Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The Maltese is a beautiful, silky, long haired lap dog. Maltese are smart, devoted, playful companions. Maltese do not like to be teased by children. Housebreaking can be a challenge. Maltese do well living in apartments if they are walked every day.
