Rescue Me ID: 14-11-18-00383Ribi (male)
Looking for a loving home for this little guy. His owner has had a stroke and is unable to care for him. There are no other family members able to take him in due to living in an apartment. He is very well trained. He does lick his feet right now and that could be because he's been moved around and is a nervous condition. He likes to sit in your lap or next to you for a bit and then sits at your feet. He minds well and sleeps on the floor on his bed during the night. Usually by the bed by my dad or son. Please call if you would like to meet Ribi.

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-26-00106Logan (male)
Logan is about 4 or 5 years old. He's a good dog the only thing is he pees in the house a lot and we don't have time to train him again. He was good on not peeing but then we kept moving for a while and he started peeing again. He is very good with kids and adults. Any person he sees he instantly wants to go to them and get pet. He doesn't like to play so much with toys, kind of just lay around. He was like this ever since we got him as a puppy. He's a good dog who needs a home who has time to train him. We do love him, we just don't have as much time now like before.

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-06-00239Jeter (male)
Jeter's awesome personality will hit you like a fastball! His huge heart and tiny boy will make his new family feel like they have hit a homerun! This tiny little five pound guy's tail never stops wagging, he just loves people! We are not sure of his mix but we believe he is Maltese/Poodle. He had to be shaved due to mats but he will grown out and be even more adorable than he already is! This little guy loves other dogs his size and is playful! Because he is so small, we prefer kids to be at least six years old. We require adopter come to Abilene to adopt, we do not ship.

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-01-00862BELLA in Ft. Worth, Tx (female)
MEET BELLA IN FT. WORTH, TEXAS! If you would like more information, please contact Connie Lawrence at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application at www.brusselsgriffonrescue.org Sweet Bella is looking for a forever family to call her own. This five year old, 15 lb. joyful beauty is a Brussels Griffon/Maltese mix. Bella is a happy girl with a winning personality. She is described by her foster mom as sweet, funny, and playful. She gets along and loves to play with other dogs. She enjoys the company of and playing with respectful children. Bella knows the 'sit' and 'come' command, is leash trained, likes to go for walks, and will bring her toys to you. One of her favorite past times is chasing bubbles. As much as Bella loves having fun she also enjoys sitting in the window watching the world go by, hanging out on the sofa or sitting in your lap. Like the Griffy side of her ancestry Bella likes to stay close by and sometimes underfoot. And, like the Maltese side of her ancestry, her foster mom reports that she doesn't shed. Bella's one weakness and where she will need the most help from her new family is with house training. She can be good about going outside but she has to be watched to make sure she does her business and not just busy having fun. She will need to go outside on a regular basis - a strict schedule and patience are a must. Bella will also benefit, as all dogs do, from regular walks. Bella hasn't had many accidents at all since her foster family started crating her whenever they are gone and overnight. Bella does really good in her crate. She does not whine or bark according to her foster mom and she will head straight to her crate when she senses that she is supposed to. Bella is not crazy about riding in the car though, so her new family should keep this in mind and work with her so she understands riding in the car is a positive experience. It could be she has spent little time in the car and/or when she was in the car it ended with negative experiences - like the dreaded vet visit. Other than the needed help on potty training, Bella's foster mom says she's perfect in every way. Bella is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped, heart worm negative and on preventative. We all have our weak spots, do you have the patience to help Bella strengthen hers? Bella will make a wonderful companion for the right family - could that family be yours? Bella is located in Ft. Worth, TX. Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger. He is loving and gentle and would be perfect around adults, but has not been around children. He is an excellent guard dog or alert dog and is fearless. Eros is playful and gently nibbles on the hand to show affection, and sleeps near me at night.I can mail a picture of him, but do not know how to download pictures. Eros will be perfect for older adults who need a lap dog.

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-19-00737Biscuit (female)
Poor Biscuit was found as a stray so full of stickers and mats she couldn't stand on her paws or lay down in any position. No collar, no tag and no chip...we couldn't find her owner. With a good doggy day spa she was so happy and full of love. She is now completely vetted, is house trained and with good food and lots of love has turned out to be a wonderful love bug. She is about 14 lbs, does well with other dogs but is still somewhat nervous if strangers or children get too close so we are suggesting no children under 8. Her adoption fee is $250 All Schnauzers Etc. rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies, annual shot, bordatella, microchipped, and any other known medical issue has been corrected. They come with collar, leash, harness, several toys, several days of dog food, their blanket, all their vet paperwork, their remaining year's worth of heartworm pills, and educational material on how to be a good pet parent. Visit our website to see all our available dogs and for application/contract to adopt and then call show contact info with questions or to make an appointment to meet your forever best friend. |Rescue Me ID: 14-06-04-00489Dixie (female)|
Poor Dixie was an owner surrender at a high kill shelter...moving they said and couldn't take her with. At 6 years old and 20 lbs, she had lost her family and was surround by other dogs and the smell of death. Scared and afraid, she could not be moved into adoptions and so was scheduled for euthanasia. No one considered her because she had 3 growths on her back. When I looked at her photo, her eyes called out she wasn't ready to die, she was a healthy good dog, and she wanted someone to love. Went to the shelter and with happy face and waggy tail as we played, I knew I couldn't leave her there so home we came. The growths turned out to be cysts and were removed, She does have a little arthritis as some of us older folks do and a slightly enlarged heart so needs a calmer home and easier dog life style but does loves walks and some playtime in the yard. She is kennel trained, house trained, loving and gets along with most dogs. More important she is happy to be alive and tries to please and love her people. She is completely vetted....spayed, heartworm neg, up to date on all shots, microchipped and comes with her remaining year of heartworm pills. Also collar, leash, harness, blanket and adoption goody bag plus all her medical paperwork. Her adoption fee is $200 Missing out on adopting her would be missing out big time so call show contact info today. Dawn Conner Schnauzers Etc. www.schnauzersetc.net (Less)
