Rescue Me ID: 17-07-19-00569Lucky (female)

Maltese    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis, Fearful/Anxious

Lucky has been our family pet for nearly 11 years. We are moving and are unable to take Lucky with us. She is used to having a doggy door (and will have accidents without one unless she gets lovingly trained otherwise), She does NOT require walks, being entertained, or a lot of food. She DOES require a lot of human companionship, a fairly consistent routine & environment, and to NOT be crated. (her being in a crate or small space exacerbates her anxiety to the point that it's just not worth it). She NEEDS to have daily teeth brushing (she has teeth and gum issues). As she has gotten older she has three annual needs from the vet. 1) a ... (Read More)seasonal allergy shot 2) an arthritis steroid, and 3) an annual gum surgery. (about $400). She is updated on all her shots & her annual surgery. She is good with kids but is fragile enough that young kids hurt her without meaning to and she can snap at them if they do. We need to find a home for Lucky immediately because we are moving fairly soon. Please, please, please help us find her a great home. She has been the best pet we have ever had. (Less)
