Rescue Me ID: 16-10-18-00603Rhett and Shiloh (male)

Maltese Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive

These 2 guys are the sweetest. Rhett is the more golden one (morkie/ Maltese and yorkie) he is 8 years old and Shiloh is the white one (maltipoo/ maltese and poodle) he is 2 years old. They are both males. They are not neutered. Rhett is very very playful still and is a cuddler. Shiloh will play but he loves cuddling. They are not micro chipped or neutered (that was because my husband would not ever let me do it %BD%BD) I have been very slack on getting them to the vet this year but they have never been late on their shots until this year, they haven't been. They are very healthy, have never been sick or had any health problems. We ... (Read More)are the only owners and I have had them since they were 8 weeks old. We were very picky getting them and I drove to Ohio to get Rhett and to Kentucky to get Shiloh. I bought them from breeders. They are very sweet and love each other to death that's why I have to keep them together. Rhett is very very playful and gets a long with other dogs so well. Shiloh for some reason gets a little scared but has never ever shown his teeth he just acts like a little baby and will bark until he gets used to them and then he is fine. They are amazing with my little 1 year old and just cuddle and play with him. I've never seen them be ugly to him or anyone. It's been so hard even thinking about getting rid of them but we just don't have the time anymore to take the best care of them that they deserve. For some reason that ever since I've had the baby they have been having issues with marking things. The vet said it has something to do with not being neutered. We have just kept them in the bathroom when we are not home because we didn't want them to mark on the babies stuff. Ever since Rhett was a baby (and they say it's a little dog thing) that any time he gets excited he tinkles a little bit with company or if he gets in trouble with something he will tinkle on the floor. I'm sure with a little help they will snap back. We are not the kind of people that get dogs and get rid of them. I thought they would be our forever babies but life has changed so much and it's just not fair to them anymore with us not being home. We want to find the perfect match for our little babies and pray that they are loved as much as we love them. Thank you very much for your interest in reading this post. Please let me know if you have anymore questions. (Less)

Animal ID: 5016Livvy (female)

Maltese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Livvy is a sweet Maltese Mix who was surrendered by her owners in hopes of her finding a family that was able to care for her better, She is a sweet and playful girl but does best with woman and can wary and snap at men. Livvy has a rare but mild condition called Vaginal Hyperplasia where her vulva appears swollen which may have been cause by hormonal spikes after her spay. Livvy is not bothered by this and it does not affect her urination or in any way medically nor does it require any future care. However, the base of her vulva may never completely swell down to normal size. **Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg area applicants only** ... (Read More)Wanna meet me?
