Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00425Tangerine (male)

Maltese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tangerine had run out of time at the shelter & needed to be saved, he even began to remain in the same place when he was visited & became sick in the shelter. We got him out of the shelter & got him to our vets & got him well, when we got him out he had kennel cough. We got him well & he will be looking for his new loving forever home. He is 2 years old, neutered, up to date on his shots, chipped, heart worm negative & will be getting a dental in Washington before he goes to his forever home. Tangerine needs to go to a home where the people are there during the day as Tangerine always likes to be with people & is a little on the needier ... (Read More)side. He is full of life, love and energy. The most affectionate little dog ever. Tangerine's foster mom says he's very energetic and bouncy. But he's also smart and learns quick! He picked up sitting before getting things quite fast. Tangerine would do very well with someone who likes to hike, or someone who would like to do agility work with him, etc. 'He sometimes gets protective over with our dog, just barking at her, but as soon as we stand up and leave he stops and calms down right away.' Tangerine has the adoption fee of $500 & is looking for a home to love him & be patient with him. Tangerine will be ready to go to his forever home July 24th onwards. Please remember our loves are rescues so if you are looking for a perfectly potty trained dog these are not that. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Adoption Process All of our dogs are in foster homes, so please fill out an application on our website to meet them in person: www.aberdeenstr.com. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all their free hours to finding the best loving home for each of our dogs. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-13-00441Sam (male)

Maltese Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

    * Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Sam! I am an 18-month old terrier mix and 8-pounds of energy! I am a neutered, current on all vaccinations, and ready to conquer the world! My adoption fee is $595. I am a very happy dog. I am a little unsure around men but with patience and time I know that this can definitely be overcome.I came from a home that thought I had too much energy - I say, 'Phooey - that is typical terrier!' I am entertaining and will put a smile on your face. I like to follow my people around like a shadow, and then speed like lightening through the house and make ... (Read More)you giggle As I am still a young dog, I should attend puppy classes with you. This will create a bond for us, and also ensure that I have manners to make you proud.I will require a fully fenced yard. I am curious, and this is all new to me. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend - this will ensure that I have enough exercise to burn off my excessive energy. I will need a grain-free diet to keep me healthy and my coat beautiful. I have a straight wiry coat that will need to be brushed occasionally, and grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep me adorable. I am pretty much a 'wash and wear' dog. Sam is a rescue dog, and rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, Sam should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Home check and plan must be carefully thought out and presented at time of interview. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $575. My adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. I am fostered North of Seattle, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)
